Hessa Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. Tessa makes bad choices in a lot of areas of her life is easily led in this book not making her a great role model and leaving me as a reader feeling a little annoyed withe her. I hated Hardin, loved Hardin, hated Tessa, and loved her again. I don't usually write reviews, but I couldn't help it this time. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin's prejudice about nice girls like her? They'll never get to hear the snippets of his life or hear the conviction in his voice when he swears that he loves me more than breathing. She always leaves us right at that exact point where we are in desperate need to know what comes next. Hessa Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home.
I sincerely hope that whoever reads this book does not view this relationship as something to strive towards. For the first third of this book I was so frustrated with Tessa and Hardin. At the end of everything no one should go through the process that this couple goes through, but again some people actually do. Book 3 of the After series—newly revised and expanded, Anna Todd's After fanfiction racked up 1 billion reads online and captivated readers across the globe. Always an avid reader, she began writing stories on her phone on Wattpad, the global multiplatform entertainment company for original stories, with After becoming the most read series on the platform.
He'll call her beautiful, then insist he isn t the one for her and disappear again and again. I was angry at this book from the start. And for that, I pity them. I went from excitement to frustration to shock and anger to sadness to giddiness to swooning and happy and in love and then wanting to get down and worship at her feet. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. Seriously, they fight every chapter and considering most chapters are below 1,500 words that's draining.
We are all way too old for this and it made me hate Tessa even more. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Me trying to save my mothers coin due to the fact that shey been working extremely hard, I was lowkey disappointed but thought that the movie coming out on my bffs birthday was good enough. And to think it started with a One Direction. But she s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. Life will never be the same.
I havent read them yet but i can not wait to dive in and fall in love all over again. The story line was somewhat forced and a little unbelievable. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. Hardin was someone who im not sure about. After Hardin constantly treating her like crap she always runs back and guess what they do? Neither character had any redeemable qualities.
I love his willingness to make changes for love. I highly recommend this series to any young adult wanting a great read!! I can also proudly say that I am nowhere near to being that phone-addicted teen but is aspiring to be an author and avid reader. I read a lot about it being a toxic relationship and people putting the blame on Hardin, but let's be honest, Tess is just as bad. It has been published in over thirty languages, with more than eight million copies sold worldwide, and is a 1 bestseller in Italy, Germany, France, and Spain. Boy has daddy issues and has terrible nightmares just like in 50 shades of grey.
Tessa's internal monologue was grating and the constant screaming and use of exclamation marks was just—well let's just say I would rather stick bamboo in my fingernails then continue reading. I started reading them on wattpad when she was still writing them and i finally was able to buy these! I have never cried in my life as much as I have over a book, not even when Dobby dies in Harry Potter. I even threw the books a few times, cursed at it, curled up under my husband's arms because the emotions in their story is so raw. So I repeat, that's not love, that's lust. Something that completely blew my mind.
I couldn't help but shake my head at the decisions she made. Hardin and Tessa's relationship is one of the hardest I have ever read, but it is raw and passionate love, and it is the worse kind of love, but that is what love is about, sometimes. The growth of the characters in this book is what I loved the most. Then it was Tessa's turn to get under my skin. What this book boils down to is sex and not love. This book is not for people who take things series , as it does have a lot of emotional abuse in it.
