Since we sell direct to the public, anyone can get their hands on our awesome seafood selections! After getting the lightest crabs I've ever had here, I'm not sure what the fuss was about. I had the crab cakes and potato wedges. And, things go down from there. Coleen our server was amazing. We offer the freshest seafood, regional specialities, and the best steamed crabs in town. Was able to dock right at the restaurant and waited about 30 minutes to get a table outside. Welcome to Wild Country Seafood.
The staff is nice, they sit you well. I've seen lots of mention in the reviews about poor service, but I didn't experience any of that. I usually call around and they beat most prices by the dozen by about 10-15 dollars. Prices are what you expect. Cheri's family goes way back on Kent Island, and this enabled her to collect an amazing repertoire of Eastern Shore recipes for crab and other seafood dishes from family and neighbors.
Cheaper better crabs at Rey's and the other place right before 10. The menu was concise and easy to follow. The outdoor bar offers a great view of the marina and the water. To get their attention to order food was another trying experience. The salad bar was lack luster.
I can't stand leaky crabs. Ordered medium crabs and some were so light, they weren't worth picking and some looked illegally small and definitely not medium. They still ignored us until 1 came over and yelled from the bar area asking for our drinks. You can find live or steamed Blue Crabs, 7 days a week, all year 'round! I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which was pretty solid. Fried oysters had too much breading and the texture was if they had been frozen before frying. After having a minor yet less than stellar customer service experience on the phone I called back and spoke with Joe himself.
But they only give smalls and some mediums in the ayce. The taste was amazing, fresh, and satisfied my crustacean cravings. I sadly switched to Rey's where the prices are a bit lower and they give a damn if you are getting what you need. Disinterested hostess tells us to go see hostess on deck if that's where we want to eat. Our team members have the knowledge and expertise that allows us to provide our customers with the most appropriate products and portions needed. Servers are nice but disorganized and not just one server. It seemed as though the restaurant managers determined that being as bland as possible was the best business strategy.
Right when we walked in, you could kind of tell that the staff seems like they're related, perhaps a family-owned restaurant. Following in his footsteps, I got my commercial license at the age of 12 and started trot lineing on my 20 ft. Friendly crowds, never had a problem here. I had a bite of my mom's baked potato was very bland and not because she ordered it that way , and I had a bite of my bf's orange roughy which tasted like fish I've had served in the hospital. Apparently Joe thinks he has too many customers so I will help him out and never shop there again. I explained what happened and explained that I had been a customer for over ten years.
Mikes Crab House North has great parking, right next to the edge of the water, and is quite a large restaurant. Our server was attentive to detail and never let ours drinks go empty. Not exactly meeting the 5 star rating for little things. Great location to look at the water. Once we ordered, it took a bit to get our food, but once it came, only 4 out of the 5 of our orders were there. Or, come in by car. We can tell that the both of you are proud of your business and are sincerely concerned with the quality of what you prepare.
We dipped the meat in cider vinegar and extra spice to see if it helped, but what really was the point? That is okay by me. He was really rude and asked me not to come back. I also thought the rest of the food tasted badly-and I'm not a picky eater at all.
