We really enjoyed ourselves and I'll definitely be back for more drinks and to try the restaurant in the hotel. A children's menu is available. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. My friends and I had the afternoon tea at the Punch Room. They included no sandwiches or scones in their version of the afternoon tea.
The Punch Room is bookings only, which ensures that it's not overcrowded and as an added bonus you get to choose how long you want to keep your table for at the time of booking. I would not recommend this place for a longer drinking sessions. The location of the hotel is just superb as there are so many amazing things to see and do within walking distance. Bathrooms also have custom-scented Le Labo amenities. However, charges can vary, for example, based on length of stay or the unit you book. Once I was escorted inside; I was greeted with oak panels and a roaring fire with cosy armchairs draped in velvet placed in front.
Please see our partners for more details. A reservations-only policy makes the place feel all the more exclusive especially if your table happens to be the one by the roaring fire. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. Note: we ask all members to attend the event for which they make reservations as it can result in keeping another member from attending. We had a reservation but were late, so they gave our table away.
I hate to say it, especially as I keep mentioning it in other cocktail bar reviews, but Nightjar has more interesting drinks and a bit cheaper £10-£13 and also has a sense of exclusivity to it. However, after waiting 10 mins when we arrived, we were given another table. It's a classy affair as the pictures suggest with beautiful high ceilings and comfortable sofas to lose an afternoon in! A children's menu is available. The bites were tasty but I found them a little small. If you like whisky, make sure you order the sour which isn't listed on the menu but bar staff are more than happy to make. All in all-- if you can book for a drink pre-meal I say go for it, or after before heading off somewhere else.
Guests can enjoy drinks at the bar. Despite having an old-school oak-panelled style and more than a touch of the Don Drapers about it, this bar to the rear of the London Edition hotel is a contemporary, high-fashion hangout where platinum-blonde bar staff look like supermodels and guests smoulder in the corner by candlelight. Your personal details will not be shared with those companies - we send the emails and you can unsubscribe at any time. The drinks are about £15 for a cocktail but it's such a treat to be in an elegant atmosphere, and plus you get complimentary nuts too come on, awesome right? Despite the cocktails priced a little higher than other premium bars in London, you get at least two servings per person. The food was amazing and the views from the tenth floor were beautiful.
Dress up, you're going to like it. For lunch and dinner, the menu includes an interpretation of Mediterranean specialties complemented by a regionally focused wine list including more than 30 wines from local vineyards. A cocktail bar sits at one end of the space while the lounge area sets the scene for a more intimate ambience away from the main club area. Work your way through the 30 strong list of drinks in the third incarnation of the renowned Punch Room Five menu. The Punch Bar is tucked away at the back and is great for parties I've been to a fab party here as its private and exudes old-school charm.
Loved the cosy room with the fireplace, it would be great place to let your hair down in the colder months. § We'd also like to send you special offers and news just by email from other carefully selected companies we think you might like. Trying the more curious — and heady — cocktails all priced at £14 is far from intimidating, since bar staff keenly and knowledgeably steer you. Edition hotels set themselves apart by appealing to a new kind of demographic: trend-conscious, multi-generational travellers who value the slick yet unobtrusive vibe upon which the brand thrives. I had two of the famous Clearer Colada cocktails which.
Taxes and fees that are shown are estimates only. The space itself is as carefully crafted as the cocktails and features a Castilian-style billiards table with a golden cloth, a black-granite fireplace, leather and green velvet furnishings and oak-paneled walls lined with images from local photographer Andrea Torres. For £35, we each received 3 little oer d'oeuvres and small alcoholic punches along with a choice of tea. While the ground floor may be all sleek sophistication, other areas have a more seductive feel. Opening a new hotel in these days is no mean feat.
The 100 tech-forward and suites are impeccable, of course, but what sets The Barcelona Edition apart is its common spaces. The second punch I tried, Punch a la Romaine was a little more bitter but with a sweet lemon foam on top. Please tick here if you are happy to receive these messages. The city center hotel features 100 guest rooms, a signature restaurant, state of the art club and lounge, bespoke cocktail bar, rooftop bar, outdoor pool and fitness center. In terms of decor, I expected slightly more than the bare wooden panels and could have perhaps done with more taxidermy similar to what they had on display in the corner, to give more of a feel of the Don Draper-esque drawing room. The great location just steps of the Cathedral and the Gothic quarter or the hop-on bus is just a really nice benefit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Barcelona and the Edition at some point in the future. They all smelled and looked lovely, very aesthetically pleasing. Beverages are complemented by a selection of light bites. We were escorted in and promptly apologised to for not being able to sit close to the fire as requested in our reservation Fair enough. Many thanks to the guest relations, housekeeping and concierge staff for exceeding my expectations.
