Even there back issue bins are full of hard to find issues. I order a lot of trades and hardcovers online from various companies. Most are graded and are only inches away for you to purchase. I can't say enough good things about this store. No, we don't need more cowbell.
The problem is it set up like a museum, every key book is ridiculously over priced. They had a few old copies of the Annie book series and even had a Luke Skywalker speedster with ObiWan that was sold in the 90s. . Torpedo Comics was easy to find, nice location and the layout inside the store was impressive. Between the pages of the books we call Comics. So you are paying a bit more for that level of service and care. Knew people who bought the member packages and didn't get what they were told.
This place is the ultimate. They have a vault full of rare comics and a ton of amazing collectible figurines. You might even call it the right to flex your very own Super hero Guns. No one has what this comic book store has as far as the sheer volume of high end Silver Age and Bronze Age comics. And best of all, no empty war of wizard tables in the middle of the store keeping you from getting to the good stuff.
Then surprise there is a back room! As you walk in the store, they do have a large glass case, in the shape of a rectangle, with all the hard to find pieces in there. On new release day they let the same groups of people that they know are reselling them on Ebay, pick them clean. If you are looking for a good comic shop, and don't want to spend an ass load of money may I suggest Maximum Comics, Alternate Reality, Cosmic Comics, or Velvet Underground. It has everything you'd expect from a comic store with an impressive collection of back issues. Very spic and span and loaded with unobtanium. Like I mentioned the store is immaculate.
I'm here to spend my hard earned money and you act like my money isn't good enough for over priced establishment. I've been in to this place 5 times and every time, no one talks to me, no one asks if I can help you, nothing. So many hard to find books here. Ok, the only reason this place gets 2 stars is because it literally has every book you need. His customer service was above and beyond and I could not be happier. Nice selection but a few big issues with this store. Thank goodness they didn't have my husband's size.
For this error I'm only giving them a 3 Star. In their defense, you are paying for the service and care. It's intimidating walking into a pristine store like this but the staff are truly friendly. Ever watch Comic Book Men? The check out, they can have a line of multiple people holding a bunch of books, and still only ring out on one register while there are other employees sitting at the one next to it. Not your typical sociopath that you find in most stores.
Shop brings in a lot of top artist and writers for signings, but the cost they charge is very high. Update: After contacting the store to let them know my situation Rob the owner refunded me my money with no questions asked. First, the outside is very appealing as they have some characters painted on the outside of the store. The guys who work there are the coolest guys. The strength to defend the ones we love. We did learn from the owner that they will be moving to a new location somewhere on Rainbow.
